NEW STUDIO GROWING

E-mail Print PDF

The new location is coming along, . . .slowly.  We are still moving things around, however, our sister station KAZV-TV, channel 14 on antenna and Charter cable and channel 195 on Comcast cable, has started broadcasting LIVEF5 days a week from 7-8 a.m.  The new program, called CENTRAL VALLEY SUNRISEi offers information and news in three areas, News and Politics, Arts and Entertainment and Sports within the coverage area.

Guests have included the Mayor of Modesto, the Police Chief, the founder of YES Company, organizers of several non-profit organizations and more.  If you would like to be on the show, or have a suggestion for a guest or topic, contact the station at 209-566-9135.

The office is open daily, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until at least 5 p.m. IF YOU WANT TO USE THE STUDIO, IT CAN BE MADE AVAILABLE BY APPOINTMENT.  CONTACT US AT 209-566-9135.

Tapes and DVDs will only be delivered to the broadcast center on Friday, so be sure you have everything in by 4:45 on Friday for the next week.

It has long been an unenforced policy that shows were supposed to be in 7 days prior to broadcast (with few exceptions for news programs), now with the changes we will be enforcing that policy.

Charter Communications Closes Public Access

CAMPAIGN TO RESTORE CHARTER CHANNEL 15

On June 1, the "Public Access" channel on Charter Communications based in Turlock, California, and serving several communities in Stanislaus and Merced Counties, stopped accepting public content and ceased operation.  Their stated reason was that they "needed the bandwidth."  The citizens of Stanislaus County have taken up the battle and are fighting back.

Below is a proposed Resolution to be copied and sent to Town, City, and County officials in the affected areas, calling on them to request the restoration of Channel 15.

Also included is a Petition for Restoration of Channel 15.  Please print copies of this document, get as many registered voters as possible to sign them.

Make copies for yourself and send or bring the originals to the mytv26 office in Modesto, California.  We will coordinate a large group of supporters to attend meetings of the city and town councils and the county board of supervisors.

The time for action is now.  If we lose the channel, we will never get it back.  The public voice must be heard.  Save YOUR public Access station.
